Let's Start With the Governor's Council

Thank you for visiting my website. I am Jason Panos, a life long resident of Peabody, and I am running for Massachusetts Governor’s Council representing the 39 communities of the Fifth Governor’s Council District to make the Governor’s Council accountable to you.

The Governor’s Council has the power to confirm the Governor’s judicial appointments at every level. They are your judges who are appointed for life and have the ability to make decisions which directly impact all aspects of your family, business and personal life in matters both civil and criminal.

The Governor’s Council serves a critical function which can only work effectively if your voice is a factor in the outcome of the judicial confirmation process. Unfortunately though, the Governor’s Council has conducted itself with little openness, transparency and accountability to the citizens who elect them.

I have drafted a set of reforms entitled The Governor’s Council Reform Act currently pending in the Massachusetts Legislature. Once signed into law, it will transform the Governor’s Council into the People’s Council by enabling you to have a voice in the judicial confirmation process. In short, these reforms will help make your government accountable to you.

I am running for this position as an independent Democratic voice for effective reform and accountability and I need your help in this election so I can be there to fight to make these reforms work for you. You can help by joining our team or by c ontributing.
